Cat was poorly and waiting for a scan but his condition turned for the worse last Monday. Quick search on Google at 7.30pm found silver gate offered euthanasia at home, I WhatsApped, got full rundown on price and service and by 8.20pm we had a lovely Vet at my home in Medway. The procedure went so peaceful. Big thank you 👏

Sorry for the late review…. Back in March Ollie at Silver Gate had the awful job to lay our Billy to Rest. 10/10 for caring about Billy’s comfort and 10/10 for compassion from Ollie for our ‘King William’ who had his last steak and plonked in my arms on the sofa. Billy had a wonderful life to the end, even through treatment. We shared more love than anyone can imagine. Thank you once again

It’s never easy saying goodbye to your fur baby, but our heavy hearts were made a little lighter knowing Bono was treated with kindness and understanding. Michaela was both professional and empathetic. She was so gentle with him and took her time, no rushing to go off to her next client, instead she stroked his paw as he crossed that rainbow bridge. We couldn’t of asked for more at such a difficult time 💔

Wonderful and compassionate service from Oli at Silver Gate Vets. When the time came for my beautiful spaniel Willow to cross the rainbow bridge, I couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful, compassionate and professional service . It was a great comfort to us that Willow was in her own home and with her family present . Everything went very smoothly, from start to finish. They also arranged for Willow to be taken to Barnshaw Pet Crematorium for her final journey. This service was also caring, compassionate and flawless. I would highly recommended both for their compassion and care. Thank you .

We had to contact Oli at Silver Gate Vets out very early on a Saturday morning to our wonderful 13.5 year old Labrador/Shepherd Cross, Poppy. All we can say is Oli took the utmost care of her and made what could have been a traumatic time just so peaceful. He was patient with us, explained everything and was simply wonderful. Whilst he couldn't take our sadness away, he did make everything just so much more easier - we didn't have to put Poppy through the stress or pain of getting her to the vets. Oli took care of everything. His communication with both us and arranging everything with Barnshaw Pet Crematorium was excellent. We didn't have to worry about anything - we could just focus fully on our last few hours with Poppy. Cannot recommend highly enough to anyone facing this incredibly difficult time. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Silver Gate for the exceptional care and compassion shown during the most difficult moment of our lives — saying goodbye to our beloved Rebel. From the moment we enquired, the kindness, gentleness, and professionalism of the team was evident. Our attending vet, Oli, guided us with such patience and compassion, ensuring that Rebel’s passing was as smooth, peaceful, and painless as possible. For this, we will always remain profoundly grateful. Rebel was, and always will be, our hero and our saviour. It was the greatest honour to be his chosen family, to love him, protect him, and fill his days with joy. He leaves us with countless cherished memories — and we hope he leaves Silver Gate, well, Oli, with one lasting one too, as the first dog you ever saw drink cola. We would also like to acknowledge the aftercare team, whose empathy and sensitivity were a source of real comfort during a time of heartbreak. Their support and compassion extended beyond Rebel’s passing and truly made a difference to us. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, Oli, and thank you to the entire Silver Gate team. Your extraordinary care has brought us comfort in our greatest sorrow. Thank you so much for making an awful time bearable , Michaela was so gentle, kind and compassionate. Our hearts are heavy but it was so nice and personal having our beloved Murphy put to sleep at home , he didn’t like the car or vets , it was the best decision for him 🥹…sleep easy our gorgeous boy 🌈🐾

Brilliant! Fantastic communication, integrity, compassion amd professionalism. We wanted our elderly German Shepherd, Roxi, to be relaxed at home, with her family surrounding her with cuddles and love, as she drifted off into her eternal sleep. Getting her to our usual vets in the car would be too stressful and uncomfortable for her. And we wanted to keep her dignity as much as we possibly could. We found Oli at Silver Gate Vets online. I was a little dubious at first, but saw all of the amazing reviews, and so made enquiries. Oli replied to our online query within 20 minutes or so....he text with all the info we needed, and his availability. The next day, he came to our house. He messaged to say that he was on route before turning up and gave a rough ETA. When he got here, he introduced himself to the family and Roxi, and explained everything, making sure that we all understood and answered any other questions. He had also made arrangements with a private Crematorium based in Tenterden, who carry out individual cremations. They collected Roxi straight after Oli left. Oli was compassionate, kind, gentle, and very professional. The whole experience was quick, easy, and we felt like we were in safe hands. Roxi was treated with care, compassion and respect. Everything our beautiful, loyal, loving, gentle giant deserved. We would absolutely recommend contacting Oli at Silver Gate Vets if you want a relaxed environment to say goodbye to your beloved pet.
