Dover (Whitfield) Vets4Pets Ltd is a Vets4Pets practice described on its website as “locally owned,” and it also operates as a veterinary nurse training facility. The practice appears set up for more than routine care, with advanced diagnostics and procedures listed (for example, endoscopy, echocardiography, orthopaedics and cruciate surgery) and support for exotic species (including reptiles, birds and amphibians). In reviews, owners give concrete examples of practical help—such as the team rearranging appointment order when someone called to say they were running late, and staff handling pet insurance admin—alongside recurring complaints about costs rising and allegations of overcharging/upselling. One recent 1‑star review alleges a serious missed diagnosis after a road-traffic injury; other recent reviews describe compassionate care during euthanasia and good experiences with vaccinations and surgery.

I had taken my cat who was hit by a car! To Pets at home vets in Whitfield, charged me a fortune for medicine that wasn’t needed. My cat was in that bad of a shape that when I got home with the cat as advised by the vets at this place. Apon getting home and doing what they advised I wasn’t happy that my cat was okey. He wasn’t! He was very far from it. As I’m a human who can clearly tell if an animal is in bad shape. I took my baby to another vets as I didn’t trust pets at home vets! Low and behold my cat had a broken spine and brain damage. This cost me a lot of money taking him to another vets but I had to as I knew my cat wasn’t right! I then had to get my cat put to sleep as he was in that bad of shape. Pets at home vets got around £130 out of me for an incorrect diagnosis and wouldn’t do anything until I paid money. Ofcourse at that point I was prepared to do anything to help him, if I would’ve known they weren’t doing the right things I would’ve walked out. I would strongly advise not going to this vets. They will scam you for you money and leave your animals in pain.

Nice staff and knowledgeable but prices have increased drastically for assessments, operations and medications. This is typical of vets that are now owned by companies rather than independent vets I have had quotes for the same tooth extraction for my cat and they are at least 25% cheaper. When money is tight... You have to look elsewhere

I would give a minus if I could as James and Megan must be on good bonuses ureter scaring my dogs so much. Trying to force medication on one and James is well known for over charging from our other visits when a simple neutering cost over £1600 instead of £350 this vets has let us down twice now and don't care about your furry family just proffit.

I was so pleased how professional they were when we had the unfortunate visit of taking our Rabbit to be put to sleep. The Vet was so kind and caring, the nurse and reception were all so lovely. Thankyou for making a difficult time a little easier to deal with

Amazing vets service, fantastic staff from the reception staff to nurses and vets, so accommodating especially when my cat was hiding and we called to let them know we were running late, they changed the order of patients as others were early. Having 4 cats we've used them a lot in the last few years, for vaccines, spay operations, check ups, and specialist tests when we found one of my cats has a medical condition. They have dealt with all the insurance for me so took a lot of the stress away. Always manage to find an appointment when we need one. 100% recommended.

Has become expensive over the last few years and it seems like when you go in for one thing the want to check for anything else they can find wrong with your pet to charge more money. Use to love this vets but sadly not what it use to be. Although the vet carl is the best one there and I would always want him to deal with my dogs that anyone else and he doesn't seem to take the buscuit. Have lots of respect for Carl. Overall I'm really going off this vets as a whole.
