Pennard Vets Tonbridge

Pennard Vets Tonbridge is an independent, employee-owned practice in Tonbridge. It provides its own out-of-hours care, aiming to keep continuity with familiar staff, and it notes Stress-Free and Positive Pet accreditation. Recent feedback remains very positive, with owners often praising calm handling of nervous pets, prompt appointments, and caring support for both routine visits and urgent situations.

Services

•Out-of-hours and urgent care: The practice says it handles its own out-of-hours work rather than outsourcing it. Recent reviews also describe strong support in serious cases, including a puppy injured in a road accident where the team reportedly suspended surgery to go out and assist, and other owners who say the practice helped save their dog’s life.
•Routine care and preventive treatments: Reviews mention vaccinations, microchipping, and cat claw trims, with owners describing gentle handling and low-stress visits.
•Ongoing treatment and rehabilitation: Feedback includes monthly visits for an ongoing condition, with owners reporting clear improvement over time, as well as physiotherapy for arthritis-related stiffness and limping.
•Support for nervous or difficult pets: A consistent theme is patient, accommodating care for anxious cats and dogs, including pets described as very nervous, difficult, or usually unsettled at appointments.
•Communication and general care: Owners regularly mention clear explanations, kindness from reception, nurses and vets, and staff who take time to reassure both pets and their owners. One recent reviewer also highlighted being seen quickly and a receptionist arranging a taxi home after the appointment.

Pricing

A very limited amount of published pricing suggests the clinic may sit below average, but this is based on very few comparable services. Recent reviews focus much more on the standard of care and communication than on cost.

People

•Georgia: Praised by name for helping with a very difficult patient; one owner called her “a credit to the practice.”
•Caron: Named in connection with physiotherapy, with one owner reporting improved mobility for their dog after a few sessions.
•Wider team: Recent feedback frequently praises the reception team, nurses and vets for being caring, calm, professional and reassuring.

I arrived early for my cat's appointment and expected to wait but I was seen in ten minutes. The vet was very nice and the receptionist phoned for a taxi to get us home afterwards.

We have been very fortunate in having Pennards London Rd Tonbridge during the last 5 years; when our retriever of 9 months got hit by 2 cars , they suspended surgery and came out to assist, by good fortune he recovered from his serious injuries and subsequently he has received fantastic care as and when circumstance dictate. The entire team take a genuine interest in all of their pet clients and being a member of Pennards Club, the benefits are a bonus so I can only sing their praises which was not the case with our previous experiences at another Vet Practice who were found wanting when our late dog was in need of serious attention. So if in doubt do choose Pennards London Rd for your caring vetinary practice.

We take our twelve year old dog once a month for an ongoing condition. The staff are all very very caring: reception, nurses, vets. They all make him very relaxed, and the improvement in his health condition and his overall state is evident. All down to the help and guidance. I fully recommend Pennards
