I can’t recommend this practice enough. My dog was previously registered with another local chain of vets but my gut feeling was the continued request for her to have blood tests when they had already diagnosed her with severe arthritis (she was nearly 11 and on pain relief medication) would be to no advantage when it was obvious the kindest thing would be to put her to sleep. From the moment I spoke with the receptionist at Hythe Vet Centre I knew I had done the right thing. Colin examined her and agreed that putting her to sleep would be the most caring thing to do. We were both treated with such empathy and compassion and hard as it was to say goodbye to my precious girl, I knew she would at last be out of pain. I will never forget the kindness of Colin and his team. Thank you.

These vets are so caring and we are glad we went with them! Our puppy was poorly when we first got him with a UTI, and the vets here have helped us and continue to do so with his diet ect. We are very grateful and less stressed with their support, thank you. X

I was gutted to leave our old vets behind and took a chance finding a new one by just using Google. Hythe Vet Centre sure surprised me. They have gone above and beyond with our pets' care. All the staff are friendly, compassionate and hard working. A great vet is worth their weight in gold and I can truly say Hythe Vet Centre is in that category!

I'm so glad we took out their vet plan. They don't charge more for older pets. 14 year old ginger got bitten on the bum, and we got a same day appointment. They cleaned out the wound so well that it healed really quickly. A couple of weeks later, an abscess came up near the wound, and again, we got a same day appointment. Monthly prescription flee and worm treatments are included. Ginger has two checkups each year. His favourite is when he gets his included vaccination and a pedicure.

In-depth phone call with vet to put our minds at ease with a next day appointment along with having all procedures necessary to be done within the week. Friendly reception staff / Nurses who take the time to chat and provide catered advice. Was not upsold or charged extras / fees left right and centre but was offered extremely competitive rates with advice on how to make things cost effective as well as given a rundown of any future potential costs. The team thus far are a credit to the business and have gained a loyal customer.

Today I had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to my cat Roly. I haven’t been with this vet centre very long, but I’m incredibly grateful for the support and care they gave us throughout. Colin and Gale, were outstanding—compassionate, gentle, and respectful during every visit, especially Colin in his final moments. They treated Roly with real care and helped me feel supported through every step of the way. The payment plan and added benefits were also a huge bonus, along with the super helpful PetsApp. Thank you for everything—you truly made a painful experience a little easier to bear.
