I cannot thank the pdsa enough.. On the 16th September my son and I had an emergency appointment for my 14 year old Black labradoor,he was really suffering with his Athritus and got to the stage where his back legs were collapsing and messing himself without knowing.. We were devastated, the kind words and professional nature from a lovely young vet(sorry didn't know her name)helped us make the decision to put our dear lucas to sleep, she gave us time with him and we didn't leave his side until he passed.. Thank you so much for your kindness..

I really love this hospital❤️ We bought a 13-year-old cat from our neighbors who weren't caring for him and started treatment at this clinic. All his illnesses were cured, and the staff is always polite and attentive. It's the only place that makes me want to donate to them for their help.

An appalling awful place. Without going into too much information I had to rush my cat in as an emergency and I was greeted by a rude unprofessional receptionist (lady with purple hair and another lady with blonde hair). They made me feel stupid and unwelcome and I felt I was targeted because I am young. I made them aware that I am looking after my family’s cats while they are on holiday and when this emergency occurred I was in a very difficult stressful situation as I had to deal with this on my own and have never been in a situation like this, there was no compassion or support for me which was highly upsetting especially because my cat had to be euthanised, even when I paid as I was leaving I was clearly upset and distressed nobody attempted to comfort me or even show any sympathy. Also to mention I overheard these 2 receptionists moaning and gossiping about previous customers and their pets which is unbelievably unprofessional and disgusting. I’m not really the person to sit and write reviews but I felt I had to because I want to make people aware of what this vets is really like and wouldn’t want anybody else having to experience what I had to today.

My friend has just had the worst experience. Single parent on UC and told that they refuse to treat her dog following a burst lump and infection unless she paid, £2,700 up front despite her dog being insured. They refused to allow her to let the insurance cover the cost. She had to get a lift to another private vet, who despite emergency service only charged, £300 for the same treatment and was happy to wait for the insurance payment. How can they justify 9x private cost and expect poor people living on benefits to find this sort of money. I’m just so shocked 😳 the PDSA used to be wonderful charity, now they are extortionists, taking advantage of vulnerable poorest people desperate to do anything for their pet and who don’t know any better.

They do the best they can with the tools and funding they have been given! Never had a bad experience, even when the dog ate a weed brownie (allegedly 😳🤷🏽🫡)... Australian vet was super nice, courteous and professional... (different animal, different occasion) Provided my bastard cat with an off brand dog medication for his ear infection and it's worked amazingly well... Top job, Sheila! (Sorry, didn't remember your name)
